Though I have 8 years + of experience but I have experience more than 10 years in vmware workstation or server. I use to work like making virtual machines of Active directory, DNS and DHCP server for LAB testing. I have also done testing proxy servers in windows and Linux(squid using datacard as internet connections) and email server testing(squirrel) in past when I was only learning and played a lot with NAT, Bridge and Host only settings.

The virtual machine must have its own IP address on the external network. If you only need Internet in the Windows 10 VM, the option is NAT >>> With NAT, the virtual machine and the host system share a single network identity that is not visible outside the network.
