I run a recruitment business that specialises in recruiting for the green industries (environment, climate change, renewable energy etc.). When I was alone, it was easy for me to cover all business functions including marketing. But now the business has grown, I am unable to dedicate adequate time and attention towards the marketing of my company. I need help.
However I hire will be no different to any other employees as I am not recruiting for 1 project. This will be a long term marketing engagement and your purpose will be to help me with growing the business and capitablise on market opportunities through:
1) Creating brand/ company awarness
2) Content creation/ sharing/ posting
3) Monthly/ quarterly email marketing
Activities explained further:
The company website has been accumulating subscribers to our newsletter but I have not yet been able to send out even one newsletter. In an ideal world, I want to send out a monthly newsletter to candidates (job seekers) and a quarterly newsletter to clients (customers).
On the website, we have a blogs page. There are only a few articles posted, which were uploaded when the new website was launched almost a year ago. In an ideal world, I need to post news/ good content on the website at least once a month.
I don’t have time to read/ follow all environmental news. Someone else needs to do this - to be my eyes and ears and informing me of key industry news. I will decide which articles would be good/ relevant for us to publish on our website.

"read/ follow all environmental news" - I'm used to doing secondary research which amongst other things,involves extracting information from trade journals and market reports. It also involves researching the relevant trade bodies and industry associations. The idea is to keep it simple, succinct and scannable.
"Generate leads / market the company as we grow into new sectors".- I have experience of generating leads by developing targeted lists from trade directories and telemarketing. Again trade journals and direct marketing are useful to support an integrated strategy which links into digital marketing
Creating brand/ company awareness - Targeting HR departments in larger organisations; getting on the approved suppliers lists of same. Links to professional associations and trade bodies. Advertising and PR in trade journals, exhibitions and conferences may also be useful. Linking back to your website.
Facebook, twitter etc. I have to admit this is an area of weakness for me. I don't have any experience in these channels, but this is a lack of technical know how rather than a lack of understanding of the strategic importance of digital marketing.
These are my initial thoughts. It's hard to be definitive without knowing more about the business.
