I'm seeking a skilled microbiologist to culture probiotics from MAP (Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis) bacteria. The cultured probiotics will be used for livestock, specifically cattle, to enhance their health and productivity. Linked below is an article on a field study on treating Johnes Disease in cattle, it was found that by culturing probiotics from the MAP bacteria and feeding it over the course of 9 months can completely reverse the symptoms of the disease and spread of the bacteria, the method of seperating MAP bacteria and culturing probiotics is within this link: [login to view URL] Your work will contribute to improving animal health in the livestock sector, im unsure if this will be commercially viable for farmers but i know there are people with loved pets who are desperate for this treatment. Please share relevant experience and approach to the project.

Hello, I have carefully reviewed your project requirements to culture probiotics from MAP bacteria for livestock health improvement, particularly for cattle, using the method outlined in the provided article. I'm Taiwo, a UK-based Senior Software Developer with 10 years of experience. While my background is primarily in software development, my Master's in Cyber Security and experience building backend systems for IBM, UK Government, BMW and Sky has equipped me with a strong understanding of secure and reliable processes. My work building backend services for an agro-tech business in InfoSys Ltd is also very relevant. My approach to this project would involve a phased process, beginning with a thorough review of the provided article to understand the precise culturing methodology. From there, I would establish a sterile lab environment, implement the culturing process, and conduct rigorous testing to validate the probiotic cultures and ensure they meet the required quality standards. I would also deliver a comprehensive report detailing the process and results, to allow for further development of the product and for the benefit of pet owners. Relevant projects: ⏺ Pet finder and location tagging system ⏺ Experience with writing technical documentation If my understanding of your requirements aligns with your vision, I am eager to discuss the project further and begin as soon as possible.

Hello, I understand you’re looking for a skilled microbiology and research specialist to evaluate and support probiotic development linked to MAP (Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis) research for cattle, particularly focusing on improving livestock health outcomes and reviewing evidence from the referenced Johne’s disease study. I will conduct a detailed scientific review of the provided study, assess the feasibility of deriving beneficial probiotic strains from MAP-related research context, and map out a safe, evidence-based conceptual workflow for strain identification, characterization, and validation. This will include microbiological safety considerations, regulatory compliance for livestock applications, and a structured framework for evaluating probiotic efficacy in animal health without compromising biosafety standards. I can begin immediately and provide a structured research report within a short turnaround, including clear recommendations, feasibility analysis, and next-step R&D direction suitable for academic or early-stage development use. Thanks, Asif

Hi there! I’m a microbiologist with experience in bacterial culture techniques, probiotic development, and livestock health research. Your project is highly interesting, especially the potential application of MAP-derived probiotic cultures for managing Johne’s Disease in cattle and companion animals. I can assist with reviewing the linked field study, designing or replicating the culturing workflow, isolating and handling MAP-associated samples under proper biosafety standards, and developing a scalable probiotic culture process for further testing. My approach focuses on maintaining sterile laboratory conditions, documenting reproducible protocols, and evaluating viability, stability, and potential livestock applications of the resulting cultures. I understand the importance of balancing scientific rigor with practical farm usability and would be glad to discuss the feasibility, safety considerations, and next steps for research or pilot-scale production. I’d be happy to share relevant microbiology and fermentation experience and collaborate closely throughout the project.

Most assume culturing probiotics from MAP is straightforward, but the pressing challenge lies in maintaining probiotic viability while ensuring pathogen elimination in large-scale applications. Overlooking this can undermine both safety and efficacy, risking farmer trust and animal health. My approach balances meticulous separation techniques informed by the referenced study with scalable culture methods that prioritize strain stability and bioactivity. By focusing on protocols adaptable both for field trials and potential home-use formulations, we can address immediate health improvements and longer-term adoption hurdles. Let’s discuss the nuances you’re most concerned about and map out a realistic path forward.

Work like this sits in a very sensitive space both scientifically and ethically especially when it involves MAP and potential livestock or companion-animal treatment. From what you’ve shared, the real challenge isn’t just culturing it’s ensuring the process is controlled, repeatable, and safe, while staying aligned with veterinary and regulatory standards. That’s where most projects like this become difficult to move forward. My role here would be to approach this carefully: – reviewing the study and identifying what’s practically reproducible outside a research setting – helping structure a clear, step-by-step project plan that a qualified lab or microbiologist can execute safely – documenting the process, risks, and viability so you can assess whether this is realistically scalable or not If the goal is to explore this further (especially for real-world application), it’s important to involve properly equipped labs and licensed professionals early, rather than trying to shortcut that stage. I will be happy to help break this down into something actionable and connect the dots between the research and a practical next step.

Hi, I can support this project from a microbiology research and documentation perspective, with strong attention to biosafety, livestock health, and regulatory requirements. I understand you are exploring probiotic culture work related to MAP and Johne’s Disease in cattle, so this needs to be handled carefully through appropriate lab controls, veterinary oversight, and validated methods rather than informal experimentation. I can review the study, prepare a clear technical approach, identify required lab conditions, document risks, outline testing and quality control steps, and help assess whether the process could be safely and practically developed for cattle use. I have experience with scientific research, microbiology documentation, biotechnology workflows, livestock health research, and technical reporting. I would keep the work evidence based, transparent, and suitable for review by a qualified lab or veterinarian. Best regards Ankit
