Hello, Based upon the provided information & with prior expertise in the domain, I understand that requirement is to develop & design a taxi mobile app for both end users and drivers along with web-services, front-end. Few Questions ----------------------- 1 - There are two ways this system can be handled, - To build the system for a single Operator, i.e. you want to build this system to manage Cab Bookings for your own Cabs only. - To Build a System where multiple Cab Operators (web based system) can get themselves registered and list their Cabs for Bookings, End user will have an option to select cab out of multiple available cabs from different operators. Please advice!! 2) Cab Search - What will be the parameters/algorithm criteria required to search for Taxi/cabs? 3) For charging customers- We’ll implement one fare estimator module in the application that will calculate the total fare (Inc tax, based upon the starting & destination point) prior to start of journey. The customer will be able to view the total fare amount on screen & upon accepting the offer, customer will be charged through credit card 4) Bookings- There is many different algorithms by which booking of cabs can be done (e.g. first come first come etc). We are a team of experienced developers with iOS and Android, mostly with communication protocols like XMPP and SIP. We have developed a few client-server apps with XMPP and eJabbered. All our applications include Multi-User Chat, sending online, idle and offline presence, sending location, files, photos and videos. We also work with mobile databases, message encryption at the highest level (2048 bit, private and public keys and openssl xmpp socket encryption). This xmpp communication protocol in extensible to many forms. It only depends on the kind of aplication you want to develop. We work with node.js, MongoDB, noSQL,PHP, etc. We can work on iOS and Android only. We also have a backend team. On iOS we only work on iOS 7 with ARC. On Android we have a compatibility library that allows us to start from 2.2. We have developed several xmpp applications and we use webRTC(former libjingle) for voice and video calling and xmpp signaling for the stun/turn servers to connect to the proxy.
