You must submit one original Classical-style Sonata first movement (minimum 96 bars total: 32-bar Exposition, 32-bar Development, 32-bar Recapitulation) as a MuseScore file, PDF score, and MP3 recording via Canvas. You must also submit a hard-copy Composition Portfolio documenting your creative process, including draft annotations, analysis of two model sonatas, compositional reflections, sketches, and dated commentary entries for each stage. There is no fixed written word count, but the portfolio must contain sufficient detailed analysis and reflection to demonstrate the full compositional process and meet the Musicology marking criteria (9–10 band for full marks).
