We are looking for someone to create a sales analysis tool in SAP Crystal Reports that we can use to track the sales trends of our products over a given period of time. There would be two versions of this tool: one for our sales through Amazon and a second one for our sales through our OS Commerce website. This tool should have two major functions: To return a list view of all of the products that meet the user-specified parameters The ability to generate graphs for each individual product, based on the parameters specified by the user Below is a link to a web-based tool we had previously used to track our Amazon sales. Once you’ve opened the tool, click the Filters link, then set a From Date and To Date in 2013 and click Refresh List. Note: this web-based tool does not have data collected after March 2014. [login to view URL] The two tools we want to have built in Crystal Reports should mimic the functionality of this web-based tool. Basic functions: Both tools should generally function the same way, they will simply have different data sources. The data source for the Amazon sales analysis tool is accessible via Amazon’s MWS API. The data source for the OS Commerce sales analysis tool will be a MySQL database with the fields required to grab the data for these reports. The report will ask the user to input a few parameters and will generate a list of all products that fit those parameters. Once the list has been generated, the user will then have the ability to view detailed graphs of any individual product. Parameters set by user: Part # - searchable field that returns any similar part numbers (optional) From Date - with date picker (optional) To Date - with date picker (optional) Interval (number of days between data points) - set to 30 days by default (required) Results: List level : The report should generate a list of all part numbers for which there were any sales between the From Date and To Date. This list should provide the following: Link to graph for that product Quantity Sold Part # Last Purchase Date and Time Trend arrow and trend percentage The list should be sorted by Quantity Sold by default and also allow the option to sort by Part # , Last Purchase Date and Time, and trend percentage. The trend arrow should be based on the overall trajectory of sales from the From Date until the To Date. If the trend shows an increase, there should be a green arrow point up, and if the trend shows a decrease there should be a red arrow pointing down. Next to the trend arrow, the percentage increase or decrease should be displayed. Graphs : The graph should have one line to represent the Quantity Sold of the selected Part # and a second line to represent our average Amazon Listing Price for that item during the specified interval. The listing price line should be omitted from the OS Commerce version of the report. The Quantity Sold line should sum up all sales that occur during a particular interval and show that total at the next data point. The attached image of the graph shows an example of a seven day interval. (Note: the Cost and Net figures and the line representing the product cost shown in that image do not need to be part of this report.) The range of the two vertical axes should have a minimum of zero and a maximum of approximately 10% higher than the highest data point. For the OS Commerce version of this report only, we also want an indicator to show if an item was not in stock on a given day. If our inventory for the selected product reached zero or lower at any point on a given day, there should be a red dot on the bottom of the graph in the approximate position of that day on the horizontal axis. You can see an example of this in the attached image of the graph. There are three red dots to show that the product was not in stock from October 1 through October 3. (Note: this is not part of the functionality of the original tool linked to above.)

Hello, The link [login to view URL] does not open for me. Not sure if it’s just my internet connection but I’ve tried several times. Please can you check it’s working? I’ve gone through you requirements and have a few questions: 1. When you say sales analysis “tool”, are you simply referring to 2 reports that function the way you’ve described or is there anything additional you require in terms of functionality? Maybe if I can see that link above I’ll understand better? 2. Would you be open to having this tool/reports developed in your environment through remote desktop or team viewer? I ask because this would give us access to your actual data that we can connect the reports to and test them. Do you have an installation of SAP Crystal Reports on your computers/servers? 3. Would you be open to working on an hourly rate basis? It’s a little difficult to estimate an exact timeframe for this project. Feel free to get back to me to discuss further. Many thanks, Hatim
