Python or Bash script to create a new directory using MySQL record

I need a script called casegen. It can be written in either Bash or Python. It will take one operator on the command line, which will correspond to a field in a SQL database. I have attached the database schema with one sample record. $ casegen $cas The script should take $cas and do the following: use dispos_db select def_nam from filings where cas like '$cas%' If there are more than one matching records (there may be as many as two) present the user with a choice: $ casegen 1234567 Which person?
