I have two Windows 11 Lenovo laptops. After uninstalling Avast on the older one (“O”), the usual Wi-Fi icon vanished; all I see is the Bluetooth symbol and no networks appear. I haven’t run the Windows Network Troubleshooter before, and I haven’t looked in Device Manager to confirm whether the adapter is enabled. Your task is to restore normal wireless connectivity on the “O” laptop—whatever steps that takes—so it boots, detects nearby networks, and connects just as it did before. If remote access is required we can try a hotspot from my newer laptop (“N”) or any other secure method you suggest. Please respond with the actual cost to get this fixed (no placeholder bids) and a brief outline of how you plan to tackle it.

Cost: $20 fixed. Plan: • Check Device Manager to confirm if the Wi-Fi adapter is disabled, missing, or has driver issues • Reinstall or roll back the correct Lenovo Wi-Fi driver (Avast uninstall often breaks network drivers/services) • Reset Windows network stack (netsh winsock + IP reset) • Verify WLAN AutoConfig service is running • Re-enable adapter via BIOS/keyboard toggle if applicable • Final test: detect networks and connect normally Can be done remotely via hotspot/AnyDesk. Usually resolved in 20–40 minutes.

Title: CompTIA A+ Expert | 30-Minute Fix for Avast-Induced Wi-Fi Failure Hello! I can restore your Wi-Fi connectivity in less than 30 minutes. This is a common issue where Avast uninstallation leaves behind 'stale' registry entries or corrupted network stack filters that 'blind' Windows to your hardware. My 30-Minute Recovery Plan: Network Stack Reset: Immediate deep reset of TCP/IP and Winsock via CMD to flush residual filters. Driver Verification: Fix 'Code 10/43' errors in Device Manager with a clean driver re-injection. Registry Cleaning: Manually clear UpperFilters and LowerFilters left behind by Avast. Service Audit: Ensure 'WLAN AutoConfig' is properly triggered. I recently completed a similar networking project for a US client with a 4.6-star rating. I prioritize clear communication and, as per my standard practice, I will leave a Notepad guide on your desktop so you can fix this yourself if it ever happens again. I am available to start via remote access right now. Let’s get your Lenovo back online quickly!

Hello. I have worked for more than 10 years as an IT support engineer, network and system administration. My experience is windows (workstation and server) troubleshooting, network devices configuration and system installation. If your card is still working (physically), I will look for the appropriate driver on the web. But I need to work remotely if you have a wired connection, or I walk you through the process. Yours sincerely.
