Hi. I have an experience of passing from php4 to php5 for my site. In my case the problem was in absence some functions of php5 in php4. So I wrote my own functions in php4 with the same names as existing functions in php5. When I have passed to a server with php5 there was a collision. It's possible that the cause of your problem is in fact that some functions of php4 are considered as deprecated in php5. There is a need to find such functions and replace them by new functions.
