I'm looking for a module to work with VirtuMart to make my website like a price comparison site. I will need a custom module written and a basic template to make the home page to look similar to Froogle.
1. It must work with my products in my Virtumart database. I will have a very large database of products.
2. I would like it to look similar to Froogle. It would be nice for the search to be AjaX enabled to search database (but not rely on Ajax is Javascript is turned off). It must have recent searches. section. It must rank the top "X" number of searches by action. (aka click on product, purchase product, etc) It would be nice to be able to edit this in the Admin section.
3. Search should look at Product Name and description for relevance.
The smarter the search feature you make the more I will pay.
4. Good coding standards is a must. Sloppy pay will result in less pay. You "MUST" comment the code. If you are not available for some reason to fix or upgrade the system in the future I want another coder to be able to easily be able to work on the system.
I would like it Joomla [url removed, login to view] & 1.5 compatible. 1.5 is in Beta I know the system may change. I want it to work with the current system.
I will provide a website for testing with full access to cpanel, etc.. With a copy of my current setup of Joomla with VirtuMart.
This should be a relatively easy fast project for an experienced programmer. It's basically a search script with a couple templates. No outrageous bids please.
Rules:
1. You must Message me telling me your ideas on how you will complete this project and what time frame we are looking at. If you do not describe this project in your own words and just give me a generic bid I will not consider you.
2. Payment will be though escrow. I will not use other means. I have been burned 2 times on projects in the past.
3. Non-completion by due date (unless otherwise agreed to) will result in less pay. 1% of agreed price subtracted each day (1% is based on the agreed to price subtracted each 24 hour period past due date. Example project 5 days late. If it was for $100 I would only pay $95.) I may be lenient if you explain the situation before due date, not on last day or after due date.
I give bonuses for faster than expected delivery without bugs or problems and for extra features or just quality work. (Bonus may be payed out several weeks later). If I like your work I will consider you for future work.
* Must include all source code (non-obfuscated) unless otherwise agreed to.
* Must include documentation on the use of the software
* Must include ongoing support for the software
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) ***All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
