Primarily, I need a tutor to help me get an existing website project running with the Dundas Chart component. The existing website runs on ASP 3.0 (not .NET!). I know ASP inside and out but I've only dabbled in ASP.NET. Since Dundas Chart only works in ASP.NET, I need to develop the graphing code in this new framework. Here's where I need your help. I learn things very quickly and I could teach myself the necessary bits of ASP.NET but I'd like to get this project moving along faster. I need someone to help me get this chart module working for my existing project and tutor me along the way so I can continue it's development after you're gone. So your job would be partly development but mostly tutoring. Good communication skills are a necessity. Patience is a necessity. Please don't bid on this if you expect this to be nothing more than a programming project. I know this project is simple but I need someone who will spend some time getting me up to your level. Part of your work will likely require you to do some web server work on our Windows 2003 Server. This may involve setting up DSN's, a new website, a new virtual directory, tweaking ASP.NET [login to view URL] settings, etc. While you are doing any server work (through Terminal Server), I'll watch with Terminal Server set to remote control so I can watch and learn. During much of this process, we'll need to be on the phone together so we can discuss what's happening. Like I said, I learn very quickly so I don't anticipate this being very difficult. I have installed Dundas Chart on the server and the demos are all working fine. However, I can't view my test graph remotely through the web server. I can only view it on the http://localhost address provided by "Start Debugging (Run)" feature of Visual Studio.
## Deliverables
* 8 Hours of tutoring, programming, and server maintenance. 8 hours can broken into several individual sessions. I am somewhat flexible and will try to accommodate your schedule. * Working Dundas Chart that displays line graph based on values from an Access Database (see attached graph example). Data source will be acquired from a connection string that is contained in a Session variable. SQL query will have a few dynamic filters provided by data in the Request variable. * Teach me to use Visual Web Developer 2005 on my local development PC so I can develop locally and publish remotely to the web server. * Teach me to make basic changes to ASP.NET code to allow for the creation of dynamic SQL statements using Request variable data and to connect to data sources using dynamic connection strings.
