I need some helping hand in sorting out the right way to play .Wav soundfiles (or equivalent) on a PDA, using VB 2005 standard edition.
Notice the standard **[login to view URL] class doesn't exist in .Net's reduced instruction set for PocketPC**, nor will "Imports [login to view URL]".
I need you to write a VB class that will be called from within plain VB 2005 program, something like :
Function playMySound(mySoundFile as String, waitTillEnd as boolean) as String
With mySoundFile being a path + filename on the PDA, and the function returning a string, like blank means Ok and anything else for error description.
This should be very simple and straightforward if one knows the way to do it, and will save me several hours in searching :-)
