System Tray, Registry, Rendezvous Launcher Small Application

I need a small wrapper application that allows me to execute WinVNC off of CD. It needs to do the following... I have this stuff working somewhat with Windows Shell Scripts, and I even did a C# application that does most of this on Windows 2000, but it blew up on Windows XP Home, I think because the .NET Framework was not available. It also does not have the Rendezvous capabilities integrated. I believe I need this to be written in C/C++, it needs to work on every Windows platform (95, NT, 2000, XP Home and Pro) and does not require any additional installation of the .NET framework or anything. Suggestions on the language of choice for this and any requirements for execution are welcomed and needed. The goal is for the application and VNC to run off of CD and not have to install anything. Here are the requirements of the application... 1. Save off any Registry Entries that may exist for a VNC application that has been used before on the local computer. (USER\Software\ORL) 2. Update the Registry by reading in a reg file in the same directory as the application, then using the reg file to update the registry. 3. Put into the System Tray my application icon with a context menu that provides the option to exit. 4. Launch [login to view URL] off of the CD as another Process (that's how it is done in my C# application--open to suggestions here if there is a better way). 5. Acts as a rendezvous service (this code has already been written and used in a compiled version of WinVNC and TightVNC that I have, but I need this behavior in my own application wrapper--see the last project that I did, I have all the required sources). I use this to get the IP address of the machine running VNC Server. The code is C++. 6. When the User right clicks the system tray icon and selects EXIT (the only option), it sends a kill process to WinVNC to close that application; it then must restore the Registry settings that were saved off in step #1 (if any existed prior to execution of the application), and then closes normally. I am a software developer, and do Java Web Applications (JSP, Servlets) and Native Mac OS X applications (Cocoa, Objective-C and C). I am new to developing on Windows and need this work done by someone that really understands Windows development. Thanks for considering the bid. Please ask detailed questions and give specific examples of your experience. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Visual Studio Projects 2) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site). ## Platform Windows 95, NT, 2000, ME, XP Home and Pro Needs to be C/C++ with not installation requirments to run. Able to execute from CD. If you have a suggestion for another language like C#, explained to me how it will operate without the .NET framework installed, or how you can bundle the .NET framework in to the application. Also, there is the issue of the Rendezvous C/C++ code being compiled into this same application. How would that be addressed. Thanks.
