I need to convert an IIS 5 classic ASP Content Management System that just works well to PHP. I don't want to lose anything in functionality but I want up to date standards. For example the page templates are done with tables - I want div tags.
There is about 8mb worth of scripting code (excluding graphics) and it is highly functional. I want the same level of "user-friendly" interface. Form generators, Menu makers, etc.
I am a graphic designer and really like this dated open source CMS interface in ASP for my website clients and I can just turn it around quickly. The original designers have gone out of business (2004)but on the way out they went open source with the code. I can drive better SEO with a Wordpress blog (but can't put IIS on the same domain) but still want a non-blog front-end for my clients and know none of the nuts and bolts of php. You must know some classic ASP/IIS 5 or 6 to get this to work and be able to duplicate the functionality in PHP. This will be a fairly intense project. I prefer North American assistance - e.g. I want to be able to call you.
My budget is lower than it should be so I will consider splitting ownership and redistributing the code. If the bids come back too high - I will scrap the project but consider that this site admins interface is very WYSIWYG user-friendly, it allows for WYSISYG advanced css updating (point and click) uploading images(point and click) and so on for non-designers once an HTML layout "template" is in place by the designer(me or desingers who would purchase this retail). I'll need to see a web application you have built from scratch.
It works well it is just in the wrong language for my known SEO tweaks and most economical hosting solutions. Low-ball or unrealistic bids will not be considered so nobody kill yourself thinking you are going to land project - this one is going to take some time and a lot of experience.
