A non-profit organization social networking website based on phpBB2+ needs to add the event RSVP feature.
We would like to have a "Local Events" section on the home page. All the upcoming local events will display a title and a RSVP link in the "Local Events" section.
Click "RSVP" link allows registered users to RSVP for the specific event with a brief message and total number of attendants. If the user has not logged in, the login page will be displayed 1st.
Once users register for an event, they will get e-mail confirmation. Event organizer / poster can see the RSVP users' name and e-mail. Users can change their decision before the RSVP deadline.
For all the local events posted on the website, auto generate a weekly newsletter in pre-defined HTML format with all the upcoming events' links in the e-mail newsletter and send to ALL registered users in a pre-defined the time (e.g. Friday, 3:00am).
In addition to the Event RSVP feature, a minor bug needs to be fixed. The very 1st time login in a web browser (Firefox 1.x and IE 6.x) always ask the user to login twice: Launch the brower, go the website for the 1st time, login username & password, the user is promoted to login again. After the 2nd time login, user is actually in. The subsequent logoff and login behave normally as long as the same web brower window is open which means the same session is maintained.
The social networking website is bilingual in both English and Chinese.
The winning bidder is based on good reference works, cost and ratings.
