I require a small (about 4 or 5 pages) web site presenting an educational flash card software product I am selling online.
My idea is for a simple two-columns layout, with left-side navigation column and contents in the center. For navigation, textual links are preferred to graphical buttons. Only two graphical buttons are required, namely “Download?? and “Buy now?? images to use on the home page. The layout should include a theme, or “product identity?? image, which I should be able to (possibly with some modifications) use for a splash screen in the software.
I require strict adherence to current web standards. Type of documents should be Strict XHTML and they should pass the [login to view URL] validator with little or no warnings and errors. All presentational information should be separated in style sheet documents, according to W3C recommendations. It is not acceptable to use presentational tags in markup, e.g. tables to present layout (you may check out the layouts at [login to view URL] for reference).
It is important to have pages render properly in current versions of all major browsers, and also degrade gracefully on older versions.
It is preferred that bidders provide samples of their previous work. Content of the site will be provided upon bid acceptance.
## Deliverables

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
Proper rendering is required in current releases of all major browsers. Pages may degrade but must still be usable on last-before-current major releases of major browsers.
