I need someone to design the back-end of an e-commerce site selling
printed photograps. What I would need is basically a finished site but with the design which I would be able to modify.
Here is what my client wants:
-"Yes, we already do our photo editing, croping, etc.
We use Image Pro."
(They want to be able to maintain the site themselves, i.e. upload photograps and thumbnails)
-"When you have the opportunity, look at Wildcat
Studios' website. It's a little more diverse, but
similar to what we have been thinking about. We won't
have all the differenct types of photo venues that
they do, just our sport photos."
([url removed, login to view] - I don't think this complications like choosing the number of thumbnails per page would be necessary)
-"I would like to have a watermark on each photo as each
photo is copywritten, let the customer be able to see
the photo they will order, yet be secure so a customer
can't download an image nor print it. That's a big
concern. We need to protect what's being seen. "
(I don't know about this, perhaps the photo preview might be a CSS background with a .gif or .png watermark in the foreground)
-"We believe we can maintain the adding and removing
photos from the site ourselves. So, initially, we
wouldn't need assistance there other than to get us
started on how to do it."
(my concern would be the search function that exists in the site my client refered to, I guess that would require some automatization, because the client wants to maintain the site by herself)
