(Please see the flowchart in the attached file for an overview of the project). The intention of this project is to build a custom search feature for a website. This should use the Google Custom Search Engine ([login to view URL]). The results should be retrieved from the Google CSE server via a simple GET request. The results are then returned in XML format. Each result will include a link to the page on which the results have been found. This should be used to look up additional data in a MySQL database. This data should be presented to the user in combination with the XML results that are provided by the Google CSE API. The Google CSE documentation is available on: [login to view URL] A tutorial to a similar project is available on: [login to view URL] A business account for Google CSE has already been created and a user ID will be available to work on this project. A small sample database is also available.
