Create a WordPress Template

I already have a website (chatroom) which has been made in Wordpress. I am happy with the website but I need a registration page with Username Password Email Birth Year Gender This has to be linked to a mysql database because the username and password will let the user get in to the chatroom. I would like the user to verify their email address before they can get in to my chatroom. When they register I would like a code or something sent to their email so they have to use this to prove they are real and not a troll or a spammer. Some sites I have signed up to I have had to click on a link that was sent to my email before I could use their site. Anything to stop spammers and trolls is good. I have a registration form on the site already but it doesn't do the email thing.
