and Vue.js framework. I have the source code for that up and running on a VPS server. The project that I want to migrate from is an MVC framework, but fairly custom. I am very familiar with the backend and the database stuff, so I should be able to handle much of the API and the backend. I mostly want to give it a facelift. My API calls almost all return JSON, so easy to integrate with the frontend.
Another freelancer did the previous work, but not sure he is available to work on this again because this is a bigger project.
I have attached some screen shots to show what I am migrating from and what work was done previously with the migration. I might want to plug it into a Laravel framework if that is possible. Laravel can handle much of the backend stuff and has some nice tools for creating Models, managing the database, etc.
There another application that maintains the main database, and I would want to share that with this project since this project would mostly be reading and not writing from the database.
For development, I would want it developed on a VPS server that I have. I can provide free SSH and FTP access to that. It has NGINX and Apache servers and I think the Vue CLI, so you would have most of the tools that you need. It is a development server so I do not mind opening up access to another developer.
