Email Cleaning Script

I have recently purchased a large number of emails 1.8 million from a data house. Whilst this is a reputable company i want to check these emails and so what i am looking for is a script that will do the following. [login to view URL] the syntax of the email to make sure there is no errors like dots in the wrong places etc. 2. Check that the Domain names mx records 3. ping the email address to see if it is available and if it is accepting emails 4. update the mysql database table to show if an email is valid or if it bounced. I know this isn't 100% accurate, but the cost of sending the emails to a large database is going to cost quite a lot and so we want to check the data as best as possible. I found a script that i used and it worked fine, but when checking gmail and hotmail etc it requires SMTP authentiction and the script i was using didn't do that. The script would need to be run from my server and take the emails from a mysql database and so ideally the script would run on PHP after the check the script would need to update the mysql database for each email address.
