improve my php chat in wordpress

hello, so i already have function chat between user in my custom theme.
but the chat is delayed for send and received.
i want to make it realtime so no delay, also i want to improve the experience by adding reading and writting and alert sound.
benchmark freelancer chat and facebook chat.

current server is using cloudserver but doesnt have websocket
