Hi, I have extensive experience(10+ years) in system administraion and load balancing which I work with on a daily basis. Assuming that your website is based on PHP and MySQL then for a load balanced setup I would suggest the following: One load balancer running nginx with caching and optimized configuration A mysql server cluster composed of 2 backend mysql servers mirroring each other and one mysql load balancer which can run on the same nginx load balancer. The MySQL load balancer has the purpose to split the load evenly between the 2 mysql servers. 3 PHP-FPM backend servers running the actual php website and with memcached clustered running on the same servers for sessions In addition a NFS server will need to be running on the load balancer so files can be accessed by all the nodes involved. I can set this up for you with full documentation of the setup and if required I can provide monthly services for the maintenance and monitoring of the whole cluster.
