PHP Developer For API & Admin Panel

Hello, we are looking for an expert developer. This will be a long term position to work on our new (already in progress) data panel for our startup. The project will be: - working with a single point of contact within the company (myself) who is a 20+ years long PHP developer as well - for now, only yourself on the dev team - so we can focus on dev., not team meetings - be full-time - you will lead the way in terms of structure, organization and best practices. Myself as the senior dev on the internal team is available to discuss as needed. But generally I am too busy to get down to many details on a regular basis - you will be working, as needed, with a QA to test the functionality Codebase wise we have: - an existing codebase - in PHP & Laravel. There is some debate if we should switch platforms, or, start to migrate away if there is good reason for it. Open to discussion on this - this will form the basis of the API we will use with our future front end product. So it's really an admin panel sitting atop of, and using, our API - elastic search is used a lot - mysql/mariaDB are used - docker, of course - the work will consist of some front end work as well for the panel itself. However, it is not a "crazy" UI, and the majority of the hard work will be on the backend and API. We are open to bringing on a separate UI developer depending. You will have unique opportunities on this project to be able to make wide-ranging architectural decisions on how to structure the admin panel backend, the API, and technologies used. Experience with PHP/mysql/laravel/git is a must. Nice, but important to have is experience with elasticsearch and docker. The cheapest bid on this project is NOT the winner! We are looking for someone: - reliable, first and foremost - great communication - able to recommend best practices based on experience - have experience working on similar projects - someone who can bring energy and excitement to what is a pretty fun project!
