DM - PHP MYSQL Retrieve Data from View and then Write back to a Table

PLEASE READ ALL PROJECT DETAILS FIRST. PLEASE BID ON PROJECT ACCORDINGLY. A connection to a mysql database has been defined in the attached php file (details of connection info will be provided after bid accepted). The connection to the database has been successfully tested using the code. The code connects to a mysql db on hostgator platform. We are working with a view called vbs_vw_eventbystate to pull the value of a field in the view, based on eventid and eventsessionid. there will be a calculation to take that value and add 1 and create a newRegisteredValue parameter. That value will be returned to a table called vbs_event in a field called Registered, when the user clicks on the form button. There will be a part 2 of this project that will use this php file. It will be for a WordPress website with Caldera Forms Plugin. We will be using the Processors feature to create an action that calls this php code once a form has been submitted.
