Hi What is the hosting model? are you hosting in-house? With a co-location provider or with a CSP like AWS or AZURE? This will clarify the requirements. Failover can be active active or active-passive so in one scenario we keep copies of Database and switch when one goes down. Downtime reduces, costs are not that hight. Active active is cost effective for very demanding workloads. Let me have your thoughts.
