Hi, I'm Matt and can help you with the app (22 year of IT development experience). I've read and understand your requirements, milestones are set per your wish. Few questions: 1. Do you have a (java) source code of your product? If not it can be reverse engineered yet this takes time, especially if no SRS (Software Requirements Specification) is available. 2. I presume the essence of the app is - beside getting stock ticker data - the display of the data. This calls for D3.js javascript library so the converted app is naturally going to be web standards based (so no java applet in a web browser). 3. For the first test it will probably be run on a Windows Vista laptop, with screenshots sent to you or maybe even allowing temporary Internet access to it. For the cloud instance will you set it up and provide access keys or I need to do that? So please provide more details about the application to see what programming language(s) would be best to convert it with to a reliable cloud solution. Looking forward to your reply, Matt

Hello there, I'd like to help you out with this project. I'm assuming it's a webapp deployed to tomcat which connects to mysql as the backend. After making sure it still runs, we should probably need to adjust the configuration to point to the new hosted services. I hope you understand that even when in the cloud it will be running on a sole machine (at least at first). Some people confuses "the cloud" with having a distributed system among several nodes with no additional configuration or investment. Cheers,
