Power BI Financial Dashboard Development

I’m looking for an experienced Power BI developer to build a financial dashboard that provides clear visibility into performance, with a strong focus on budget vs actual analysis and KPI tracking. All underlying data will be provided in Excel format. The goal is to transform this data into a clean, interactive, and management-ready dashboard that supports decision-making. Scope of Work • Review and structure the provided Excel data • Build a robust data model within Power BI • Create DAX measures for key financial metrics • Develop an interactive dashboard with filters and drill-down capability Key Metrics to Include • Revenue, Costs, and Net Profit • Budget vs Actual (with variance analysis) • Monthly and Year-to-Date (MTD/YTD) performance • Receivables and Payables overview • Any additional KPIs that improve financial visibility Deliverables • Fully functional .pbix file • Clean and well-structured data model • Clearly written DAX measures • Dashboard with intuitive layout and visuals • Short walkthrough (video or notes) explaining logic and refresh process Acceptance Criteria • All figures must reconcile with source Excel data • Filters (date, department, etc.) should update visuals correctly • Dashboard should be easy to understand for non-technical users • Performance should be smooth (no lag on standard usage) Ideal Candidate • Strong experience in Power BI (data modeling + DAX) • Background in financial reporting / analysis • Ability to present data in a clear, business-friendly way • Attention to detail and accuracy To Apply Please include: • A brief outline of your approach • Examples of similar dashboards (if available) • Estimated timeline
