I want a script writing in Powershell to take a list of PC names from a txt file and perform a hardware inventory using wmi
I need the script to pull back:
BIOS
Serial Number
CPU - Type & Speed
RAM
HDD Manufactuer
HDD Capacity
Video Card Manufacturer / model
Network Card Manufacturer / Model (for the connected ethernet device, not virtual / wan etc devices)
The results then need to be output to an Excel document which is formatted in each returned PC details is on a separate row, with respective headers in row 1
I've got about 50% of this done with my own limited knowledge of Powershell, but need assistance with it.
Experienced Powershell users only for this please! DOnt hesitate to contact me with questions
Hi, I already wrote everything for the inventory of the PC with neat formatting, just need to add network-capability, so you can request it with other compufers. Current output is txt but putting it to xlsx shouldn't be an issue.
I usually create powershell scripts for this kind of things, last scrip I created pulls information from a list of ESXis (ram, used space, ips, disks , manufactures, etc), then the same script saves it into a database, I will do this for fun =)
Are the system in Domain, i have knowledge on Power shell a seasonal writer of Script for Exchange Server and Domain Systems. Work for IBM As a system Administrator.
BIOS
Serial Number
CPU - Type & Speed
RAM
HDD Manufactuer
HDD Capacity
Video Card Manufacturer / model
Network Card Manufacturer / Model (for the connected ethernet device, not virtual / wan etc devices)
We can create an excel output using powershell.
I have the code ready, accept my bid I'll send as soon as i read my mail, any changes ill work in few min.
