I need a solution to remotely control a VFD (KNC-VFD-FV100-2S-0037G):

I am using this VFD to control the speed of a ventilator (Fantech FKD 18 XL 3):

The manufacturer has informed me that remote control is definitely possible, but it will require PLC control of the VFD via Modbus using ladder logic. The PLC model # K508 from Anaheim Automation will be sufficient, I am told.

One of the engineers at Anaheim Automation (Kinco's North American representative) has told me that he is willing to answer questions in relation to this project to help the programmer get started.
At a minimum, this project is to conduct all programming necessary to enable me to remotely control the VFD so that I can adjust Fanspeed and power it ON and OFF. This remote control would need to be possible via the Internet or LAN. I would also need you to tell me exactly which hardware to purchase and work with me to wire and configure it and install your custom solution.
Ideally, you can also program rules so that the fan speed would automatically adjust based on the ambient temperature. The hotter ambient temperature, the faster the fan would need to go. The cooler the temperature, the slower the fan would need to go, etc.
Hi Sir,
I would like to take this task. At this moment, i already have the VFD modbus map and the software of the PLC KNC-PLC-K508, all information is ready to start. So im able to provide the following services:
1.- Logistics and invoicing in USA. (Usa distribuitors, inmediate delivery).
2.- PLC programing and ready to wire and run.(I will send the ladder file program to factory for pre comissioning.
3.- Technical drawings for wiring.
4.- Supervision and control by internet.
5.- Best price with only well known brands.
6.- No sales comission.
7.- Final report and after service support.
Let me know if i may help.
Thanks for you read.
The mentioned VFD has got a MODBUS RTU (RS485) interface that accepts commands and returns some internal parameters as well. Not only a PLC but anything that talks MODBUS can control it.
Even an Arduino or a dedicated microcontroller board. The PLC lacks Ethernet Port and might require another gateway addon. If you intend to connect it to the Internet.
Also note that Temperature PID controls takes a bit of calibaration and adjustment. I can create a specification and scope of work for about $60 with all the technical data required for the job. Please let me know your requirement in more detail. If this is for one unit only then go for Arduino as it is cheapest to implement. For bulk requirement get a custom board.
Since I am in India at different time zones, allow me some time to respond. Good Luck with your project
Best Regards
dear sir,
As for now i understand the application is air cooler type application based on temperature which seems to be an easy task. requires a PID control. I have a good control on PID controlling and plc programming and hands on experience on kinco plc and hmi.
