NZH Contracting is looking for a Project Coordinator to assist our growing team. This position supports the administration and coordination of the project team specifically, allowing the project managers to function at a higher level. We’re a growing company, so this position offers plenty of room for growth for the right candidate. Applications must include a resume detailing all relevant experience and education, as well as a cover letter and/or personal statement to be considered. Responsibilities: Supports the project management team in daily activities, including but not limited to: o ordering materials, tracking quantities, verifying material requirements o receiving materials on site o applying for permits, ensuring no project delays o scheduling and assisting with inspections o maintains the master schedule, adjusting project activity schedules as needed o administration of contracts & other project activities o occasionally act as site super o track project status, raising concerns as appropriate o maintain project files o liaise with clients, answering questions where appropriate o enter bills and track budget using BuilderTrend o manage receipt collection for the project management team o acts as warranty administrator o tracks subcontractor progress and performance o manages trade accounts with suppliers o occasionally support office administration as required o some minor general labour tasks as required, including pitching in with site cleanup, moving of job materials, etc. Required Competencies: · Educational background in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or similar · Previous experience working in construction considered an asset · Must have reliable access to a vehicle, as this job requires travel to job sites across the GTA, with (relatively) clean driving record · Must be able to efficiently and effectively work from home, at least for the foreseeable future; must have a reliable and fast home internet connection and personal smart phone, as well as personal computer (preferably Mac-based) · Able to read and interpret plans and drawings, operations and maintenance manuals; experience with PlanSwift considered an asset · Able to produce and develop consistent project documentation and plans · Able to work independently and as part of a team · Motivated self-starter capable of working from home, and travelling to job sites · Able to multi-task and prioritize, often within difficult time constraints · Able to identify and mitigate risks · Demonstrated initiative to get tasks done without being asked · Strong and professional communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills · Punctual, organized, and respectful of others time and space · Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $35,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
