This is a simple project which take a date on command line and would download a lot of PDF files (1000-5000) from a website and store them onto respective folders based on type of downloaded file. The website contains PDF files on many pages, the program needs to go onto separate pages based on a date which needs to be input into the website and download PDF files from these pages. There are seven separate categories of pages hence the program would go on to each separate category, which would have separate pages and program would download these individual PDF files from each category onto their respective folders. At the end the software would then combine these individual files in respective folders into a seven single PDF files. The project could be done in any programming language - Python/Java but end interface must be a command line which can take a date and populate the files based on date given on command line.

The pagination (multiple pages associated with each category) you are referring to will not be a problem. I understand that the date impacts where the pdf is to be saved (decision(s) by the program), within the corresponding folder. I also understand that you are expecting for a (C)ommand (L)ine (I)nterface as a means of interacting/using with the program. I would like to know how fast you need to data (how long it takes for the program to download the data), as if using requests is acceptable, or if I need to use something with concurrency?
