R-Studio Mini Project

Prepare a mini-report (max. 800 words, excluding the bibliography, and up to 4 figures/tables) on the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain, Italy, UK, France, Germany, Japan and South Korea. Till the 31st of April 2020. Use the data from: [login to view URL] Focus primarily on the following indicators: • Cumulative number of deaths There are no specific requirements on what should be included in your report. It’s entirely up to you. However, the report should have a purpose. It should have a clearly stated question/hypothesis in the beginning, a clearly structured analysis section in the middle and a conclusion and discussion part at the end. Make sure that the references for any resources you use appear both in text and in the bibliography section. SUBMISSION: Your submission should include two files: • A PDF file with a report • An R script The script should be made “foolproof” and easy to read. In particular: • All required libraries that you use should be loaded at the beginning • All data (including the COVID-19 data) should be loaded at the beginning and the source URL should be provided in a comment. I should be able to download the dataset from the provided url, name it the same way you did and run the code without the need to make any further data manipulation in other programmes. • Everything that appears in your report should appear in the script as well (this includes all figures, tables, tests, regressions, in text values, etc.). You should use comments to clarify which parts of the script correspond to which parts of the analysis, for example: o # Tidying the data o # Figure 1 – data o # Figure 1 - drawing o # Data for table 2 o # Calculating the average rate of growth of indicator x for all countries
