Imagine yourself in your quiet, happy place, doesn't matter where it is. You are calm, you feel your body relaxed and in harmony with your thoughts. Your mind is like a tranquil lake and your emotions are in check, all of your being is steady and connected. This state of calm, connected mind, body and soul allows you to focus on the most important aspects of your life, and tune out insignifiant details. Your mind is full of the essential and empty of the rest. This is mindfulness.
But how do you aquire it? You don't, you already possess it, everyone does. Practice is the only requirement to master mindfulness, you only have to be patient and willing and you are good to go.
Practicing mindfulness is easy and requires only a few minutes of quiet meditation every day. You only need to find a place, free of any distraction, and observe your surroundings, your thoughts, your emotions, and your body.
Whether you are stressed, anxious, happy, sad you dont judge, you only observe at first and you take not of what you feel. Do the same with your mind and see what thoughts cross your mins when you dont voluntarily think of anything. Dont judge them. Check your body, what is your position? Are you stiff, or relaxed? Do you feel tense or calm?
Take note of everything your mind, emotions and body do and remember them. Only by knowing and understanding yourself you can hop
