Maven Base bootstap tool

I would like to be able to quickly use maven-base-pom. This is currently a time-consuming effort, as a majority of the time to adding maven-base-pom to an existing project would involve producing plugin exclusion files (findbugs, checkstyle, etc.) and some cleanup involved in switching to a new parent-pom. I want this to be done programmatically. There are a number of steps involved that I can think of: * produce the exclusion files for findbugs, pmd, cpd, versions, and checkstyle plugins. This would have to be done for each module of a project and, ideally, the exclusion files would be generated in a readable manner so errors/bugs can be addressed in the future. * include the maven-base-pom as the parent of the pom. In most cases, projects that declare a parent-pom do so for dependency and plugin management, and perhaps for a few more things like properties and distribution management. * define additional properties that maven-base-pom requires. Overall, it is important to ensure the project still builds after replacing the parent with maven-base-pom. I want to have the script running as part of a parameterized Jenkins job so anybody can submit their github project. The job would run this bootstrapping script, verify it builds, then submit a pull request back to the project. I would like to have the bootstrapping script done as part of this issue.
