I have my own application, developed in Electron and C++. It is a bunch of files (binaries, images, etc). and work in MacOS too, but I need it to package it for MacOS.
I developed it in Windows, and then ported to MacOS.
My application already works if I start it from command line in MacOS.
But my application does not start if I run the binary from Finder (it complains about security)
Now I need to distribute it to the end users. I need you to write a (shell) script for me, which will get the directory where my application is located, and it will create a package for MacOS from it, if such thing is possible, or some other sort of single-file distributable container/installer.
Maybe I am naive, maybe there are more things required, like some signing keys, registration at apple, etc ... I don't know. (I do not need to publish in apple store, by the way, only run it in Mac). If there are any further steps required to make a single re-distributable file/package/installer, you will kindly guide me through all steps, so as a result, I can have an Application (single file) which will be distributed to other MacOS users and it will work for them just by dragging the icon to their Application folder, or using similar fashion (I have no idea how Mac installs applications).
My application also stores files in the current directory of the application. So you need to keep that in mind.
What you require is an installer. i can create it for you which will meet your requirements. The user installs it and it runs easily as required in MAC OS. I am a software developer and installer creator. I have ten years of experience. My main line of work is creating installers in Windows, MAC OS and Linux. I create custom, robust and professional installers. Furthermore, The installer will also maintain version control and have a built-in uninstaller. I rest-assure that I will complete the work on time and deliver you the completed work to your satisfaction. Send me a message so we can discuss further.
