- software developer with 10+ years of experience. In finance sector - know both python and java. prefer python although - did several crypocurrency projects before including trading bots. Gdax , bitmex , bittrex, cobinhood - i prefer to build silent trading processes which act according to presets which are managed by user via preset file ( say excel worksheet) - bot will output its reasoning to csv file/ files for user's analysis and considerations. - for backtesting I can offer demo mode in which bot will consume data from cryptoexchange, but instead of placing real orders it will work with "imaginary" orders which will be opened at times true order would be triggered and register "imaginary" takeprofit / stoploss activities at times true activities of this kind wouldtake place. Obviously in real life exchange , market orders are subject to slippage and at backtest time are not , so reality will be slightly worst than at backtesting. - Payment. Your strategy is your strategy and my work is my work. If your strategy is not bringing you your money , I still want my money for my work. I will request 300$ milestones once per week. If you are happy with progress done during week - you pay , and we proceed further. Else we split our ways. Once project is complete - you release rest of funds. I have extensive experience on automated trading and python. I would need more information to get the requirements right and adjust my bid. do you plan to trade live? with which company? brokers have apis and I need to check what do they have available on python. Ideally a resp api would be better. or you only want to test in backtesting? Do you need a gui or just to run the code with parameters? Python has many libraries / packages for backtesting. Do you have a preferred library? Not sure what you mean with the "bot should let us implement different strategies depending on the crypto coin traded" . is it the same strategy with different parameters?
