I am a software developer and software trainer and I need to prepare a 6-8 hour SQL Server database design workshop course but I just can't seem to find the time. I need a course outline and script. I will then record videos using the script and examples. The course needs to cover the basics of designing a database, tables, queries, and stored procedures with best practices and should be targeted for an entry level user. The best practices should be specific to Microsoft SQL Server and the use of the free downloadable SQL Studio query tool can be assumed. The course should be small bits of lecture but primarily a workshop that makes use of a real-life example solution that is developed by students within the course. One suggested application to be designed in class could be a Project Tracking system for consultants to track billable hours, but I am open to other ideas that you best fit the course content. I also have a rough initial draft that was my start at this effort, but you can use or ignore it as you please. I will estimate and help determine how many pages of written workshop content would fill 6-8 hours.
