Create an Automatic Photo Display using a Raspberry Pi

Hi. I have a raspberry pi and have developed similar things for home use. My solution would look as follows : A Webserver that does the photo displaying and handling of choosing the correct file. A script to autostart a browser on kiosk mode to display said webpage. The only thing I am not sure is, if detecting the display orientation via hdmi works, I'll have to check this. I will also provide the capability to override the orientation via the Webserver. Also who's task is if to implement the ftp server? I expect to be able to able to deliver a first version of this to you within a day. We will have to decide on a delivery format, e.g. Zipfile with installation instructions or image to write on SD card. I look forward to hearing from you. Helge Krüger
