Hi,
I think I might be perfect for your project. I'm a professional animator, and have worked on two traditionally animated feature films, L'Illusioniste (2010), and Titeuf: Le Film (2011). I'm a huge fan of anime, and have studied how to animate in an anime style. As well as the difference in design, anime has a distinctive timing because of its use of '3s' timing (six drawings per second) mixed in with more traditional '2s' (twelve/second) and '1s' (twenty four/second). I'd love the opportunity to make a piece in an anime style.
I'm not sure what the length of piece you'll require is, so here's what I can do for $500.
N.B. I use a program called Tvpaint, which is used by European and Japanese feature film makers to imitate traditional pencil animation. It is an extremely powerful program, which gives stunning results, and bypasses the need to scan paper drawings.
I can do a 30 second high-quality clip with detailed backgrounds and complex characters.
The first milestone is very good value, and is for the entire first rough draft of the piece, and 2 unlimited rounds of revisions.
After that I'd ask you to sign off on the cleaned up animation, then the colour, allowing for limited feedback and changes each time.
At the end, when the final milestone is paid, I will provide the full animated anime clip in various file types and resolutions for every platform you will need.
I hope you'll consider me for your project. Thanks very much for your time!
