Convert a Desktop Application to a Web-Based Application.

We are going to convert a Desktop Application into a Web-Based app. Per the following details: Basic functionality that MUST be in the application: • Multi-language support • User role system and Privileges • Multi-browser compatibility: compatible with at least the latest versions of Chrome, and IE • Multi-deveice compatibility: compatible with at least Windows and Mac based PCs. Compatibility with iPads, iPhones, and Android-based devices is a plus. Steps in developing phases: • Reviewing current forms • Reviewing current code to see current solutions • The current code is in Delphi. Current code can't be used, but will be useful for reviewing current solution • Current Firebird database will be used for this phase. In the final phase, SQL server will be used. • The conversion will be done in phases. In the first phase: Sales Invoice, Returns, and Accounts Receivable will be converted to Web. Suggested technologies for this project are given below: • ASP.NET 5 • .Net framework 4.6 • Web-Forms VB.NET or C# • Development platform: Visual Studio 2015 • Report server on SQL server 2014 Candidates for developing must have strong knowledge in: o ASPX webforms using VB.NET or C# .Net o Web-socket technology in webforms o IScript controls and object-oriented will be used in different ways of development in JavaScript o Bootstrap Other requirements: • Comments must be used extensively inside the code • The developer is required to document and build the development environment in our local PC and have a shared folder for the code via Dropbox • The candidate must include estimated time for project phases • The candidate must include at least one website that was developed using a similar technology
