Matlab integration from vb.net

We need a vb.net developer for an engineering project (bridge construction). The goal of our project is a simple call from a vba project (a standalone exe for a windows client) of a series of function, report, graph developed under Matlab. So, basically starting from a files of matlab (like .m, .fig or .mlapp) we should develop a simple interface with vb.net wich call function/methods on matlab showing some graph and images here producted.

prototype project. We need a simple project to explore the technology and then we can go forward with the big part.
