#BASIC DEMO PROJECT#

Technical environment :

The project is to be written in C language under Linux.

Subject :

Write a program that simulates a packet switch in a very simplified way.

The switch will be simulated using a message queue (MSGQ).

Each station will be simulated by a process that:

1. At the start of the process, ask the user to enter a name for the

station

2. Will connect to the switch (will access the message queue)

3. Permanently displays messages from other stations

4. The user can send messages to other stations

A- if the receiver exists and is connected, the message will be displayed on the receiver station screen

B- otherwise an error message

5. The user must be able to log out

It must be possible to start each process station in a different window.

How much time would it take, and how much would it cost for this deliverables :

1. Sources of the program

2. A makefile to build the project

3. An [login to view URL] to explain how to configure the msgq and launch the application
