E-Commerce Elegance

Okay, I'm putting together an immensely simple e-commerce site, and my current designer has gone AWOL. What we've got so far is at: [url removed, login to view]
i have some pretty basic changes i'd like to make to what is already there, and would like to add the e-commerce-y backend. it will need to do the usual e-commerce shopping-cart-y type stuff, connecting to authorize.net.
Specifically,
This site needs small small graphic design work (change the "checkout" logo for instance to somethign visual, methinks). In general, if u've got ideas that are both impressive and clean/elegant, i'd like to hear them -- as this will be a very pricey, low volume product, by its nature, and reputation will need to be conveyed in the site. I’d like to be working on this stuff with a qualified person ASAP.
In all honesty, what i'm really looking for is a good person or three who is available when he/she says he/she is, is eager to work and make money, has a solid understanding of the various tools available to webdesigners, has a good aesthetic sense -- biased toward the simple and usable -- or will change things 100 times over until they satisfy me.
