I'm looking for a web designer or designers whose work has a style and look that I feel is right for an advertising network for my thousands of domain names. The purpose of this project is for web designers to submit examples of their work for me to review, then to design rough layouts for my ad network, which is: “The Best Of The Internet”.

When I find someone whose designs have a style and look that I like for my ad network, I will then choose that web designer for this project, to do a minimum of 2 rough design layouts each for the following three types of simple web pages all with a similar look:

1 - A main Directory page.

2 - A Sub-Directory page.

3 - An Advertisement Listing page.

(These web pages are described in more detail below)

It will help for me to see as many examples of your web designs as possible. They MUST be YOUR original designs. Not modified templates, NOT someone elses work that you've modified, etc. If I determine that someone is showing me somebody else's templates or websites that they have merely modified, I will reject their bid. If the person I select for this project submits any design layouts that are somebody else's templates that have merely been modified, I will file a complaint with ScriptLance and not pay anything. I will then have to re-post this project. When a programmer treats me right, I will treat them right.

I'm looking for clean, bright, simple, un-cluttered designs & layouts. I much prefer designs that have at least one, and possibly 2 or 3 photos, like the PPC (Pay-Per-Click) landing pages used by [url removed, login to view], TrafficZ, DomainSpa, etc., such as used for: TheBestOfTheInternet dot com, PetLinks dot com, etc. I don't like overly plain, stark landing and results page designs like DomainSponsor, google, yahoo, sedo, etc. use.

Page Descriptions:

1 - Main Directory page: Will have 2, 3, or more columns of many rows of main category links. Here are some examples of different approaches with a clean look. These are only general examples, NOT designs/layouts that I would use:

- TheBestOfTheInternet dot com - It looks nice, and I like the photo placement, however there are too many blocks of choices and menu bar choices that make it too confusing.

- PetLinks dot com - I like this look and link layout better, and the use of tabs instead of links to other directory pages, but there is still too much going on. I'd like my web pages to look cleaner and more simple.

The type of photos that might be used on a Main Directory page will be of people looking for and enjoying finding “the best of the internet”, such as is used on TheBestOfTheInternet dot com.

2 - Sub-Directory pages: When someone clicks on a Category link on a main Directory page, such as “Travel”, they will be taken to a “Travel” Sub-Directory page that will have a photo or photos related to Travel. The difference between a Sub-Directory page and a Main Directory page is that the “theme” of a Main Directory page is “finding and enjoying The Best Of The Internet”. The “theme”, and therefore, the photos for a Sub-Directory page, are appropriate for that Category. A Sub-Directory page can ALSO have a few Ad Listings related to the Category. If it's a Category that has a lot of Sub-Categories, such as “Travel”, like: Hawaii, Air Travel, Cruises, Europe, Asia, Beach Vacations, etc., it will most likely only have lists of links to related Sub-Directory pages.

3 - Advertisement Listing pages: When visitors reach a page through a link on a Directory or Sub-Directory page that matches what they're looking for, or types-in one of my domain names for that subject, they will be at an “Advertisement Listing Page”. It will have a prominent title, photos and a block of copy about and related to the subject. It will have a wide column of text advertisements links. The ad listings may or may not have a small related photo with each listing, depending on what looks good.

All pages will have a search box to “Search The Best Of The Internet” that will only search within my advertisement network, and a link to “If you can't find it, tell us what you're looking for and we'll do our best to find it for you”.

I've included this information to help you have a better idea of what components design layouts needs to have, and what they don't need to have, etc. If you're not sure, or want to try something different, please ask me. I'm very open to different ways of, and different components for accomplishing the purpose of “The Best Of The Internet”.

Whoever I choose for designing these rough layout mockups, will be invited to bid on my subsequent ScriptLance project listing to work on the completion of my ad network.
