This project is on Enhancing Routing protocol and security in WSN ( IoT ). My case study is on Healthcare monitoring or Hospital environment monitoring. I am considering hospital monitoring that consist of different patients with wearable sensor devices transferring sensitive health information like heart rate, blood pressure, pulse rate, over the internet to the hospital information system or the hospital specialist system etc.
The goal is to be able to optimize the routing protocol to increase overall network performance and I am focusing on minimizing energy consumption on sensor nodes by optimizing suitable routing algorithm, increase throughput, ensuring high packet delivery ratio, latency and finally minimize the end-to-end delay in packet transmission.
My major interest is to minimize the energy consumption and completely eliminate the end-to-end delay as it affects patient’s health. Any delay in sending or transferring critical information such as (blood pressure or pulse rate) can endanger the life of patients.
So, reducing the end-to-end delay is very key. Also, the second part of the research is to improve the security of the sensor network. To ensure sensitive patients’ information are not manipulated or hijacked or tampered with and to ensure the there is no end-to-end delay due to attacks on the network.
Tools to use for this research is Contiki/ Cooja or Castalia.
I want someone with great skills in Mobility Wireless Network security, Contiki (Cooja) or Castalia simulators, has great knowledge in machine learning and also understands WSN or IOT networks.
