Payment Verification Concerns

Here's what you can do if you encounter an issue in verifying a payment method on your account:

Credit Cards

If you get a deposit error when verifying your credit card, we recommend that you contact your credit card's bank right away.

In order to verify your payment method, we may temporarily charge your card a small amount of less than $1, and the amount will be returned to you. As your bank will be notified of a pending deposit transaction, you may receive a deposit error if:

  • your card cannot be used for online transactions, or
  • your bank is blocking the transaction for some reason 

Thus, contacting your bank will help you check if your card cannot be used for online banking or you just need to give your authorization to the bank for the said transaction. You need to use a different card for verification if it cannot be used for online purchases.

Debit Cards

For debit/credit cards, you can only verify those that are under our accepted debit/credit cards:

  • MasterCard
  • Visa
  • American Express
  • Delta Online
  • Visa Electron
  • Dankort
  • JCB

If your debit card is not under any of these logos, you can create a PayPal account instead and link your debit card to it. Once done, you can then add your PayPal account as your verified payment method. Just make sure that your debit card has sufficient funds and can be used for online transactions. 


Your PayPal account must be verified by PayPal before it can be added as a verified payment method on your account. If it is not yet verified, just log in to your PayPal account and complete the verification process required by PayPal. 


When verifying a Skrill account, a charge of $0.50 is made by Skrill for processing. As such, ensure that your Skrill account has available funds to cover the charge.
