This passion evolved into a career spanning over two decades, where I've had the privilege of wearing many hats – journalist, columnist, author and editor. My tenure at The National newspaper in Abu Dhabi was a pivotal chapter in my professional life. Starting as a general reporter in 2008, I navigated through various beats, including education and senior health reporting, before assuming the role of deputy editor for the Arts&Life section. In this capacity, I orchestrated the daily production of a diverse range of content, from thought-provoking features on art and literature to insightful pieces on health and lifestyle. My dedication to healthcare journalism earned me the esteemed Novo Nordisk Media Prize in 2004 for my article 'The Truth About Diabetes', shedding light on an issue close to my heart. Additionally, my book 'Young Voices: Life with Diabetes', commissioned by Novo Nordisk, stands as a testament to my commitment to raising awareness about diabetes and its impact on young lives worldwide. Transitioning to the world of freelance writing and editing has been both liberating and enriching. Working with clients from across the globe, I've delved into fascinating industries such as blockchain, education and music, lending my expertise in crafting compelling content that captivates and inspires. My LRSM Certificate in Piano Performance from the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music in the UK allows me to teach piano privately to students, and it is a passion of mine to teach early childhood education to young children. I am an avid traveler, an amateur chef and I read two to three books a week because BOOKS ARE LIFE!
