Prestressed CFRP for structural retrofitting-experimental and analytical investigation

In this thesis, numerical calculation models were developed to analyse the flexural behaviour of RC beams strengthened with unstressed/prestressed CFRP strips in bonded/unbonded configurations that are fixed at strip-ends with a pure epoxy-based anchorage. Developed models for the flexural behaviour are based on iterative cross-section analysis (CSA) formulations. Computational complexities due to strain incompatibility in unbonded configurations, a phenomenon occurring due to absence of composite behaviour
