EXPERIENCE Â
10/2004-Present Universal Music Group Universal City, CA Â
Repertoire Management System
Designed and implemented a J2EE web application based on an existing client/server application. I was involved in the entire lifecycle from requirements to implementation and deployment. During the development process I led a development team of 10 developers, which included hands on involvement to help developers finish their tasks, along with developing components of the application myself. The application consisted of an Oracle 10g backend, a middle tier based on the Spring framework and a front end that made use of JSP, JSP Tags, JSTL, JSON, JavaScript (prototype library) and Ajax to create a Web 2.0 feel.  We used XML to communicate with tree and grid controls and XML/XSL transformations for reporting. This system was part of an SOA architecture where we developed a number of web services using Axis 2.0.
eCRM
Implemented enhancements and maintained this J2EE web application used to manage Universals artist communications. The systems architecture was based on the Spring Framework along with a Hibernate database layer and a MySQL/Oracle backend. The frontend JSPs made use of JSP Tags, JSTL and required extensive JavaScript using the prototype library. We also used GWT (Google Web Toolkit) to create a number of widgets that required AJAX communications to the server. Another major component of the system was a form builder that was built using XML/XSL architecture.Â
Â
CART Mobile Clearance ApplicationÂ
Designed and implemented a .Net Web Application used to track the clearance of mobile products. It was written in C# with a SQL Server 2000 backend. The front end made use of JavaScript to create a web 2.0 feel. Interfaces with other applications were done through web services, both to deliver and receive data. Reporting component of the application would generate reports in html that would have the option to be exported to excel. During the development of the application I worked closely with the business users to build an application that met their requirements. After going live I was involved in addressing any ongoing production issues that the users encountered. Â

Worked on the conversion of an existing e-Procurement System written in ASP/VB COM to a Java Servlet/JSP architecture. The reporting engine of the system was built using XML/XSL architecture, along with an SQL 7.0 database. Â

Systems Architect Â
Designed and developed Java based web applications. Most recently developed a music release scheduling web application for a major music industry leader that tracked all intricate aspects of a music release. The system consisted of a Java architecture, which included Servlets, JSPs and SQL Server 7.0. Aside from designing, my role included the leading and management of the development team through the entire development cycle. Â
